Collective proposal:
Symposia provide an opportunity to examine one topic in depth preferably from different perspectives. Symposium sessions are directed by a chairperson, involving four or five presenters and one or two discussants, from at least two different countries.
Expert panel discussions are discussions on a specific issue by a group of experts in the same field. They are directed by a chairperson, involving four, five or six panellists.
Individual proposal:
Paper session consists of 3 conceptually linked papers. Each presentation lasts 20 minutes followed by 15 minutes for questions and discussion. At the end of each session the designated discussant will present his/her comments
Poster session. Posters are grouped conceptually. Each poster is introduced with a brief oral presentation. After the introductions there is time to individually walk around the posters to read and make questions to the authors.
+For collective proposals:
+ The title of the symposium/panel, the title of each presentation with the name and affiliation of each author, the name of the chair, and the name of one or two discussants (in the case of a symposium).
+ An abstract of the symposium/panel discussion of 100-300 words. The abstract should provide information regarding the aims of the symposium/panel discussion and its scientific and educational relevance. If the language of the presentation is in Spanish, please provide an abstract in English and another one in Spanish

+ A 100-300 word abstract for each individual presentation. In addition, for each individual presentation an extended summary of 600-1,000 words is required, detailing the aims, methodology/research design, findings, and theoretical and educational significance of the research.
+ Full contact information, including email address and affiliation for each of the participants, including the chairperson and discussant(s).
+ Individual proposals (papers / posters) should consist of an abstract (300 words at maximum) and an extended summary (1000 words maximum). The first page of proposals should include the author’s name, affiliation, e-mail, country, presentation format (paper / poster) and the Conference themes the proposal topic belongs to the best.
+ Individual and collective proposals will be accepted, rejected or offered an alternative presentation format. The decision will be emailed to the authors until May 9th, 2008. The scientific committee will judge the proposals according to the proposal review criteria.
The proposals will be reviewed by at least two referees (Scientific Committee Members) according to the following criteria:
• Overall quality and scientific originality.
• Theoretical framework, conceptual rationale, pragmatic grounding.
• Clarity of definition of research questions and objectives.
• Research method and design.
• Presentation an interpretation of results.
• Organisation, structure and language of submission.
• Relevance to the Conference goals and themes.
